In Japan, Amazon Prime Video (Japan) carries the special, and JustWatch Japan also lists the dAnime Amazon Channel and FOD. All are paid services and need a Japanese account; no international streaming rights have been sold, so the full episode is not available outside Japan. The audio is Japanese only, with no English subtitles reported.

Outside Japan you can still see the previews. The show's YouTube channel (PV only) posts the main PV, and the anime's own site at anime-hinahima.com carries PVs and broadcast information in Japanese. Both are free and open in India. The full episode is not on YouTube, so any upload claiming to be it is a pirate copy. PVs are short, so mobile data use is minimal.

About Twins Hinahima

Twin high-schoolers Himari and Hinana want to become famous online with their dance videos. The chase for followers is going fine until a strange glitch yanks them out of their everyday world and into a bizarre one. The special plays as a comedy and slice-of-life story with a fantasy turn, built on the sisters' bond.

Twins Hinahima is a one-off TV special running 24 minutes, written by Yū Shinada, with Sae Hiratsuka as Himari and Yurie Igoma as Hinana, and Mayu Sagara also in the cast. The producers say more than 95 percent of its cuts used supportive AI with human final edits, and the credits list an AI director named Ultra-Noob; the models have not been disclosed. It aired on Tokyo MX, then MBS and BS NTV.

Why it is popular

Twins Hinahima drew attention for its claim rather than its ratings. As of 26 October 2026, the main PV on the show's YouTube channel had 160,610 views, the making-of teaser 126,212 and the opening movie 102,796, while a critical YouTube video attacking it had 504,096. That gap says a lot: much of the audience came to argue about AI in anime. Interest was strongest in Japan and among English-speaking anime fans who read Anime News Network's coverage. Broadcast ratings and streaming numbers have not been published.

Because Twins Hinahima has no legal stream outside Japan, searches for an English-subbed version lead almost entirely to pirate sites. Those pages often demand a "free account", a card number or an OTP to play, and some push fake apps. Do not pay or enter codes, and do not install anything. Wait for a licensed release.
